engine stall / no start / codes available 850 1993

Hi all,
yesterday I experienced an engine stall / no start condition with my wifes 1993 850 GLT wagon. It has the 170HP normally aspirated engine with five speed m/t, German spec, 80,000 mls. on the clock.

While driving, the engine all of a sudden cut off and died. The same moment the check engine light came on. I tried to restart, cranked fine, but won't fire up at all. Tried several times, nope. Waited some minutes, tried again, now car starts first try and runs fine. Turn around to drive home asap, car runs fine for a short while, then engine starts to miss and stutter several times, but doesn't shut off completeley. Check engine light flickers while misbehaving.
Arrive home, park car and read codes:

System A2 (Fuel System) Code 1-1-1 okay
System A6 (Ignition System) Code 1-3-1 ignition system RPM signal
System A6 (Ignition System) Code 2-1-4 ignition system RPM signal erratic
System A6 (Ignition System) Code 3-2-4 camshaft position signal erratic
System A6 (Ignition System) Code 3-1-4 camshaft position signal defective
System A7 (Comb. Instr.) Code 1-2-2 airtemp sensor signal
System A7 (Comb. Instr.) Code 1-3-2 Battery voltage

It seems that the problem is related to camshaft and crankshaft sensors.
Common sense suggests that usually they won't go bad the same time, but well...
Where would you start to diagnose? I would guess that a wiring harness or ground connection is bad, but where to look? Or should I replace those two sensors right away to be on the safe side?

Thanks for any insight, best regards
Stefan
