Shaking in front end 850 1995

I recently had a similar experience with my Sterling. I left the car parked for three weeks while I was overseas. When I came back to drive the car the steering wheel was cycling from side to side extremely rapidly even at speeds of 5 mph. I thought I had drive shaft problems and took to the shop and it appears that one front tire had developed a flat spot from standing for three weeks. A new front tire fixed it. Check your tires for roundness before you go looking further.
