I can't handle the suspension any longer! What to do? 850 1995

Well, there's plenty of suspension! Those hard struts are doing a great job of keeping the tires in contact with the road. What you want is softer suspension!

I'll let others who have firsthand experience give you actual opinions, but one of the "fixes" that will be mentioned is installation of more forgiving struts. Since the 850 does not permit much suspension travel, it's really not possible for the car to ever drive like a Sedan-de-Barge, but different struts may help.

One brand that comes up often is Bilstein. I think the Bilstein theory is that their struts are non-linear and behave differently under varying velocity and displacement conditions. They may actually be stiffer under high velocity, low displacement motion, but softer under low velocity, high displacement motion (like some bumps in the road cause). YMMV.
