I forgot about KONI's 850 1996

The problem is, as the oe struts and shocks wear, ride quality decreases. So often when people upgrade their suspension to stiffer springs, and sport tuned shocks, the notice an increase in ride quality. However, if their suspension is not worn, a decrease.

I am currently running H&R springs, Koni adjustable shocks and struts, iPd anti-roll bars, Powerflex polyurethane bushings. About the only place wear a decrease has occured, is in steering wheel isolation at above highway speeds, primarily because of the poly bushings, and NOT the rest of the suspension. ALL bumps are soaked up better now, with a HUGE increase in handling.

From what you are describing, and the age of your car, I'd bet it is worn out shocks/struts, and not the actual settings of the springs and shocks/struts, that is causing the poor ride quality.
