Upgrade from stock rear suspension to nivomats 850 1996

I think I have heard that the springs on the nivomat-equipped cars are softer than stock springs. If I switch my shocks into nivomats, how wold my ride be with the springs I have now?
Will the ride be too tall when empty?
Will the suspension be "bouncy"?
Any opinions?
