What are you, kidding me? 850

NOOO!! SIN!! DON'T GO!! (already sounds like a bad movie)

What are you, kidding me? You can't do this. I, just Saturday, bought a '96 850 Turbo Wagon. If you remember, I'm the guy with the '98 V70 GLT AWD who was a little nervous about the bevel gear thing, so it's for sale now. It's absolutely problem-free, but if I remember right, even you said "If you don't need AWD, why not save 300 pounds & sleep better at night?" So I did. I wanted the Turbo wagon anyway.

If you're int'd, I'll tell you about it. The only minor drawback is that it's Red. Tan leather, 3rd seat, also has the fold-down child seat (didn't know that till after I bought it. works for me, I'm a father of 2). 55k miles (not bad!) Auto, loaded except for TRACS. Everything seems to work great.

Things it needs: the passenger-side rear seatbelt is broken (replace the assembly?); the trim is loose on the back gate (I saw the fix on Bay 13), and it seems like it needs a thermostat. After I get to know it a little better, I'd like to tint the windows and do the IPD sways (although they're not currently listed on their website.) I have the sways on the V70-very nice.

So far, I love it. Hopefully this is the beginning of a lasting relationship. Keep in touch. -Jim Holden, somewhere near Cincinnati, OH
