Vibration when braking at speed 850 1995

Andries,

If your rotors/brakes aren't wrapped, then it could be the wheel bearing. My Ford Escort had the same vibration problem when braking at high speed for a while. The body was shaking not the steering wheel. This vibration wouldn't happen at low speed. That was why I thought the rotor was wrapped. I changed the rotor and brake pads but the vibration was still there. Then after the replacement of outer CV boots, I was told by the mechanic that the left wheel bearing was dying. They replaced the bearing and NO more vibration during high speed braking.

Hope this help.
