wet trunk 850

I've had this problem on my 93GLT and could not figure it out for the longest time. It almost seemed impossible that the gasget could be the source of the problem and that the water would climb over the gasget near the trunk lock but that is what happened. I have solved this by putting a strip of rubber carpet underlay about 2" wide (with duct tape on the upper side to give it more longevity)over the gasget for the length of the trunk opening and rising about 3" on each side. This has proven to work perfectly.
