What grade of fuel? 850

Midgrade 89 may be "close enough for government work" in relation to 91 octane. But I've tested the difference between 89 and 93, and there is a noticeable difference in the way my car performs - especially with the air conditioner on. What the retired VP is saying tells us why Standard Oil is out of business. If there's no appreciable difference, why doesn't he put 87 in his Mercedes?
