I would find out why the battery is going dead. No battery should die after a couple weeks of sitting still.

Run to your local Sears or auto mechanic and get a battery and charging system check. If they turn out ok then I would hunt for what is draining the battery. Maybe a stereo amplifier that is hard wired to the battery?
