power seats 850 1995

I fixed the exact problem on my Dad's 850. It was a worn/loose cable in the backside of the seat. The dealer wanted $250.00+ just to work on it. I bought the cable from the parts dept.($28.00) and spent 3 hours taking the seat out and 'peeling back' the upholstery to get to the cable. I was able to push the old cable back in so that it worked. But, on second thought, I replaced it with the new one. No problems since. Four bolts hold the seat down and disconnect the power connections and undo the 'upholstery rings' on the bottom of the seat back. If I had to to it again, it would take a little over an hour.
Hope that helps.
