No response from diagnostic port 850 1995

Don't be too alarmed. That's not uncommon. SOmetimes there is a connection fault to that little reader. If you pop it out of it's bracket and move the wires around a little bit, sometimes it works better. Occasionally the plug in wire is faulty, or the connections inside the unit are corroded enough to cause problems.

If you look into it a little bit more, you'll probably find that it works. I've never seen one that couldn't be revived enough to figure out what was going on with the car.
