Passed on this one, still looking 850 1995

We (wife and I ) just bought her a 1996 855 Turbo from the local dealer. Car is very clean, has a 3 year 36K waranty included and has 60K on the clock

local one owner Southern Cali car, 15 inch wheels. looked like the fronts were underinflated or aligned wrong, dealer put on two fresh contis off of another car, included new remote transmitter, a tranny flush and alignment with it.

paid 14.8K which is approx the "trade in" according to the edmunds site for a car with similar equipment... they were asking for 18K+

since you're working with a dealership tell them you want your list of stuff done to the car for the price they're selling it. (how were the compression check results?) They may well be hungry enough to do it to move the car.

But with those kind of miles (was the timing belt done on schedule?) you can get a car in better shape for about he same price. I paid about that last year for my '95 854 with (then) 72K in clean condition... I had to do the timing belt right away, but otherwise, it was/is in top shape.

However the rust indications would probably make it a deal-breaker for me anyway...

Good luck in the hunt
