How do I remove power window switch? V70-XC70

I just take a small "pocket screwdriver" and CAREFULLY pry the switch out by going back and forth to the front, then back of the switch assembly BUT you must be carefull or you'll mar the surrounding plastic. It's easy to remove that way but if you don't want to take a chance on marring the plastic, the alternative is to remove the door panel.

Now.......although you can try if you want, I wouldn't advise taking that switch assembly apart as there's little parts that will come out and may not go back together correctly afterwords. We replace those switches commonly (usually under warranty) when the contacts start going bad. The individual switches aren't "serviceable" (like older Volvos were), they're soldered into the assembly.

You might want to try spraying contact cleaner (or WD-40) into the switch assembly and working the switch while it's still in place (not taking anything apart) as that in itself might work.
