Can't clear 'check engine' nor can Dealer, HELP!! 850 1993

I have had the 1-2-1 code for the last few months. I bought a new MAF sensor and installed and it ran like crap. Put old one in and finally took in for 100,000 service and had them check it. I was able to to clear the code before I installed the new one but since then couldn't.

They installed the new one and said the same thing. She never ran bad when the light came on. Dealer said they tried everything to clear light and new that the sensor was working well. After the suggestion to buy new computer I opted for something else before spending $$$. The light was off when I left the dealer and stayed off for a full day until I left it idling for about 10 minutes and now it's back on to stay.

Any suggestions? It's hard to believe the computer is the problem. Computers either work or don't. They don't hit and miss.
