Replace rotors at 20K? V70-XC70 2001

Anyone else a little pist that the rotors are only getting 20,000 miles before replacing? Dealer says thats normal. I say it's a design flaw and I'm sure not going to pay them for another set of 20,000 rotors. Any suggestions for better rotors? Upgrades?
