If changing to Syn Oil, should I do an Engine flush? 850

Highly unlikely unless the engine was really neglected....to quickly clog the oil filter would take a lot of crap, plus synthetic will clean pretty good but it's not instant. I seriously hope there are no FWD Volvos old enough or abused enough to clog an oil filter on switch over!

That said there have been old beaters (pre FWD) with oil pans actually 3/4 full of solidified scum, parafins, etc....flushing would be highly advised....ahem...
