850,940,960.....What's the difference??? 850

940 is a 4 cylinder car with around 120 horse power I think...

960 is 6 cylinder car with not much more power than the 940 .. volve 6 cylinder car always have been known as a lemone car with many problem....

940 the 4 cylinder is a bullet proof car very solid car problem free extremly reliable car is also know is the pass as a 240 car... same motor...

850 is a 5 cylinder car and front wheel drive 100% different than the other 2 car more sporty nice looking.. but also have many more bugs come along with more maintain is needed with the 850 car but is also have much more power none turbo 850 have 160 horse power the 850 turbo have 220 horse power...

I own 1987 240GL volvo with 280,000 still going strong
also a 1994 850 turbo with 120,000 great car need some work I do all the work myself..

also 2000 volvo V40 with 16,000 this car is a JUNK car low garbage volvo ever put out.. we regreted ever buy the thing....

Here is my choice if you do not know any thing about car and want trouble free
than go with the 940 model solid car no work is needed.

if you like fancy and power 850turbo is the way to go.. but if you taking this car to the shop every time the check light come on than you will go broke for sure....

850 turbo is the best we own and we love and will not have it any others way..

hope this answer your question..
