The Britax is worth the money. It is by far the best child seat out there. Most of our friends had them and had pretty much done the research for us. The Britax seats excelled in all safety tests, too.

I installed ours (1998 S70) rear-facing and later forward-facing. Both installations were very secure. Even the State Trooper that inspected it at a free child seat inspection said we did a good job putting it in.

It is a little tricky installing it rear-facing with the top tether. I ended up looping the small strap (supplied with the seat) around a spindle on the front passenger seat and then attaching the top tether clip to it.
