Good day kind sirs. Most of you likely have never seen a post from me, since I "hang" in the RWD forum. Please avoid tossing of fruits and vegitables at this time. I'm just here to get some information. :)

I am currently writing a program that will disect a VIN and pull "important" information. In fact, the first database slice added was the Volvo information from the 700/900 FAQ. That FAQ's information however dosn't mention the 850, which discomforts me. It also dosn't mention it's 5-cyl engine.

In a nutshell, if you know the "name" (B230FT or B28F for example) to some interesting engines, and what they were commonly used in, I would REALLY appriciate it.

Also, if you have an interesting model/engine and don't mind posting or emailing your VIN to me so I can test/disect it, that would be really cool. Some people have some holdbacks on this, but I'm not sure what one can do with a VIN. Either way, Thanks alot for your replies.
