Horrible squeak from front strut tower... Spring Mount? 850 1996

Hi there.

Shortly after adding a strut tower brace I noticed a squeak that seems to emanate from the top of the passenger side strut. Now it's absolutely horrible sounding. Also, the nut and star nut that sticks out of the strut tower goes up and down more than the right side (which doesn't squeak... yet).

Before I install the new Spring Mounts I just bought, I wanted to confirm that they symptoms sound like a spring mount problem and not an actual problem with the strut. These struts only have about 30K of freeway driving on them.

Any advice here would be appreciated.
