No fire when attempting to start 850 1996

Thanks for the response. The local Volvo dealer ended up finding a code stating a failure of the "cam shaft sensor". Nothing $300.00+ didn't take care of (parts and labor; about 50% each)! They also found a problem with a vacuum line and a broken motor mount bushing (another $230.00; almost all labor). My wife says they see me coming a mile away. On the other hand, the car is going on six years old (43,000 miles) and these are the first repairs needed beyond the warranty. During the warranty period, the only repairs were replacment of the altenator, battery, and the tires (I use Kumho tires now!). So, I would say the 96 850R has been a good buy to date.
