cabin air setting S40-V40 2000

Ahoy Captain

In fact David might be confused as I was reading the Owners manual. On page 33 of the manual it states "To warm/cool the compartment as quickly as possible, the air mix control should be in the closed (F) position." This position is toward the RED dot if you push up.

But, just below that one sentence is the statement that the air mix is OPEN when toward the blue dot with the letter "F" indicated on the diagram. If you look at the diagram it makes one believe that the switch lever should be pushed up toward the RED dot.

The diagram doesn't jive with the verbage in the manual.

Now I'm confused !!!! Suffice to say, it is somewhat discombobulated in the manual.

David as stated by others push toward the RED dot to shut outside air off, push toward the BLUE dot to receive outside air.
