Squeaky Glovebox driving me crazy!!! 850

I guess some things never change. My 01 has the same problem. The dealer's warrantee fix was to wrap the bale of the latch with electrical tape and pack the latch with grease. Worked slick until I got home. The wife opened the box, covered her wallet and glasses case with grease and got some more on her jeans when she closed the box. The tape all fell off within a couple of days, and she wiped off the rest of the grease over a period of a week or so. No problem, I'd rather listen to the glovebox door than a greasy woman.

There is a guy around here somewhere who has stuck some foam tape somewhere around the opening. Creates enough load on the latch that it stops moving and quiets down.
