Tire Jack- Any Lawsuits , Yet? V70-XC70 1999

Hello BB'ers,
Have any of you had to use the jack? Better still, has ANYone at Volvo ever used or tested it? The problem is, there is only ONE insertion point on each side of the car at, approximately, the f/r door pillar. This jack is supposed to hold up the ENTIRE side to change the front OR rear tire! I used it at home, on my level, cement driveway using chocks, f&r, on the opposite side of the car and I was still worried and worked VERY carefully. I can't imagine doing it on a dirt road or crumbling berm and absolutely FORGET the emergency lane on highways with the winds generated by cars and trucks blowing past. I'm NOT EVEN going to consider the scenerio with my wife alone with the kids. She'd just have to entertain them for 2-3 hours(or worse if it's a restricted highway) while they wait for Volvo On-Call! It certainly appears, to me, that Volvo's safety concerns only apply if your IN the car? Don't get me wrong, I love our Volvos (9 since '72) but, I think somebody was "asleep at the switch" when they came up with this single insertion point on each side.
My 4 cents worth, GH
