Replace rotors at 20K...............but WHY? V70-XC70 1998

At 40k our V70 GLT also had warped rotors in the front which the dealer and Volvo refused to warranty. We got new rotors and new Volvo pads in the front. When we put new pads on the rear we had a local brake shop put lifetime pads put on. Now we have squeals and occasionally when we come to a stop it feels like the car is going over a rumble strip. This stops immediately when you get off the brakes. Have a suspicion that maybe the pads are too hard and the ABS is getting tweaked. Any suggestions?
