The solution is cheaper than a lawsuit V70-XC70 1999

Few (if any) manufacturer car jacks are substantial. So in my car, I carry a small floorjack, a jackstand, and a .5m piece of 2x10 (to put under the jack on soft ground). This solution, which is easy to hide in my S70 trunk, is about $60. Plus I carry a breaker bar, about $8 at Autozone.

I also carry a cell phone and AAA plus (another $60 or so), because I'd rather AAA do the work and make my presence more visible with their flashing lights.

For a wagon, which has limited hide-away space, you might consider a hydraulic truck-style jack. I had a 6-ton model in my 745T and 945T, and it now resides in my 940 trunk. It cost me all of $11. It has an adjustable lift-pillar which can reach high jack points and still get your wheel off the ground.

Also, chock at least one rear wheel front and back. And use the emergency brake.

These affordable solutions will keep you from getting hurt, make emergencies infinitely easier to handle, and keep lawyers from getting rich (whicle you collect a meager $40 payout in a class action suit).
