Error code 232 850 1995

Every three days or so I receive a CHECK ENGINE light on the dash. The DIAG port always reveals an error code 232 on the A-2 port. I have the little book and it indicates "Lone term fuel trim, idling, at upper or lower limit." Is there any way to get more information? Is this simply an idle problem, or am I dealing with something much more serious. The car just passed a California Smog check without any problems.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
