Will a Dawes Device work on an S60 S60 2002

OK, I also have an 87 765ti so I'm looking at Dawes Devices for the old wagon and my new S60. Obviously the ECU on my new S60 is a quantum leap ahead of the 765 but is the wastegate still controlled by intake vacuum and would a Dawes Device work on it if only to increase the area 'under the curve'.

If the ECU measures and restricts max boost, can a similar device (I think it's called a 'cut out riser' be addedon the S60.

Just wondering. Mine is a 2002 S60
