Smiles all the way...

Yannis, my V70R is a '98 - I guess one of the 'good ones' because I haven't had any of the problems that CR keeps reporting, and I have 75K on the vehicle, so you'd think I would see them by now.

This Motronic upgrade is so wonderful - not only do you have that extra (awesome) speed when you need it, the car feels really different. It shifts smoother, and when you are at 65 mph, it feels that it is at 35 or so, with so much more power to spare. For that reason, it feels incredibly smooth, at least from the engine standpoint. Also, hills are a joke now, and with the cruise on, I lose nothing and don't hear much of the engine fighting to keep me at the cruise speed as the hill gets near the top - fantastic stuff. Icing on the cake - my highway mileage has gone up 1.3 mpg!!!!!!

All Volvo owners should have this.

Did you get the sport exhaust? I was planning on it, but I was told that it makes quite a racket in the cabin of the vehicle, and in a year or year and a half when my wife takes over the car, she's most certainly not going to want that noise, and frankly, I don't either. I don't see it on your specs, so I wonder if you did the same...
