Squeaking Dash 850 1995

The 850 dash is a troublesome thing indeed. The support structure is plastic and tends to crack. If you remove the glove box door you will find that the hinge support structure is broken up. I fabricated metal doubler to repair mine. If you remove the dash cover you will most likely find the plastic support structure cracked. I repaired mine with plastic and metal doublers and epoxey. The firewall mounts also come loose or break. The screws are on the engine side of the firewall. Take off the plastic cover for the windshield wiper motor/airvent box and check to make sure they are tight. If they are and the dash is loose then they are probably broken. The dash must be removed to repair them.
