keyless entry 850 1997

The instructions following are as per the Volvo Handbook.
There is a maximum of four transmitters for each car.
Make sure all doors, hood and trunk are closed
Turn the ignition on and off 5 times within 10 secs (do not start the car)
On the fifth try leave the ignition on
Press either button on the transmitter.
Note: the first Transmitter must be programmed within 15 secs, subsequent transmitters within 10 seconds.
When the system accepts the codes from each transmitter the LED on the top of the dash will glow steadily for a few seconds.
Switch the ignition off and test the remotes.
