Did you do this for a glt or t5?

for what its worth, I can remember that on my old turbo Eagle Talon, the boost built up much quicker after going with a K&N. Point being that I think that easier air intake is especially valuable for turbocharged cars since it allows the turbo to spool faster.

I would vote for more info on your home made air intake!
