t5 turbo lag and torque steer....

Yeah, it takes a while to get used to the torque steer...but I love my t5 Se and the sheer power when pumped up... the turbo lag is not at all as bad as everyone makes it seem. I have driven a base S70, an 850 GLT and found both of them to be snoozers. On the hyway, the car is impressive to pass with... you melt into the seats... I timed myself from 120 Km/hr to 220 km/hr in about 10 seconds... hard to read a stop watch and drive at the smae time. I know the car will do 0 -100 km in under 6 seconds...and 120 in 13 or 14... anyhow... I've taken it from a stand-still to 220 km/hr in about 20 seconds. The acceleration is strong and steady throughout the whole curve. I am driveing total stock .. the car as I bought it with no known modifications. This summer I am borrwowing a G-tech and taking it to the local track for some 1/4 mile runs. It is said to do the 1/4 mile in about 14.9 seconds at about 97 mph... I have taken on porsches, mustang 5.0's and rice rockets of all shapes and sizes and left a few surprised people in my rear view mirror!

I LUV MY T5!! Go HPT or go home!!
