Depends... 850 1995

850s (from MY1994 until and including MY1996) were built using two manufacturing codes: 31 (for California) and 30 (for the rest of the country). Cars going to CA, obviously, had to be built with the 31 code, which meant "air pump". Staring with MY1997, all turbocharged 850s had that airpump installed. MY1999 and on, all models have it (I am not 100% sure about the model breakdown but I believe that's how they were built).
