Boost Controllers 850

I bought and installed a turboxs manual boost controller for my car. I have not increased the boost with it much, just a couple of turns. What I have noticed is that I can hear it bleeding off pressure to the wastgate and after the car shifts and pressure spikes, the stock boost gauge settels slightly higher. Pulls real strong on the top end too. I bought an aftermarket gauge to better monitor boost and will install it this weekend to get a baseline boost figure, and then I'm going to start to turn up the pressure with the controller. I would like 15-16 psi after the shift spike. I also have an IPD ecu and cat back exhaust and water injection system to help controll intake temperatures. Also I installed the boost controller between the boost solenoid and the wastgate.
