The Ohlins adjustible shocks? 850 1995

i've been looking all over to see if anyone's got exp with it. r&t was impressed with how fast the car was, but they weren't exactly raving about the ohlin's ability to put down all that power onto the road.

emailed easternaerospace and they say they're excellent, but didn't say much of anything else. i emailed and called naake.com up in roseville, ca, they have a direct connection with ohlins in sweden. they even had a ohlins engineer come over and give a workshop at naake this past jan, i just missed it though. anyway, naake apparently called ohlins and asked them if they make shocks for volvo; ohlin's response was no, naake assumes volvo must've bought parts from ohlins and put them together. weird, because this kit is on the volvo owner's circle under driving, older info accessory in addition because it was developed with volvo because of the btcc ties. so, not much of info yet. then i called ipd, asked them about it, and they said they had a customer who had ohlins and said the ohlins (8-way adjustable) on the softest setting was still stiffer than the bilsteins hd. wasn't really what i was looking for.

the shocks have remote reserviors with external adjustable settings. this makes adjusting simple without having to remove it like the konis. this is also one of the reasons it's so d*mn expensive, the remote reserviors, $1600 factory installed option, or u can purchase it from dealer or easternaeropace for roughly $900 front and $700 back. u'd probably also need some sort of strut, probably the volvo oem strut, to hold the remote reserviors. so looking at this, then the konis (which require disassembly to change settings), i looked for other options. came across leda suspensions in uk, as well as kalmar-union in uk. leda makes it for kalmar-union actually, and the price is about $1000 including shipping on dhl to sf. it's 24-point adjustable front and rear, height adjustable front, height static rear, and springs from a wide range of selection including linear or progressive, stock lb rates to extremely stiff. softest setting on shocks is bilsteins hd, and hardest is 300% stiffer.

again, no one has really provided me input for actual experience on the cars, so, i haven't really decided if either is worth the extra $$$. if u do decide on either, lemme know how it feels.
