Just a note to the self oil changers.

I have found that using a vacuum type oil change system, saves time and mess.
You can purchase them for about $50 from boat accessory stores like Boat US.
This is the only way you can change oil on a I/O type boat.
All you do is insert the thin tube into the dip stick hole and start pumping with the manual handle. After about 5 strokes, syphoning begins. It takes about 5 minutes to drain all of the oil that way. When finished you can pour it into a waste storage container.

By the way, I previously owned an "S" body Benz. The owners manual suggested that it be done this way. Eventually you can damage the drain plug.
I do this with my S80 and other vehicles. Of course you still must remove the bottom engine cover to access the oil filter.

I could never go back to all that mess.
