CV shaft replacement advice... 850

Dealer prices are expensive, however, I do not replace as many parts as I see people do on this message board.

I used to have all my routine work done by a real good independant mechanic, then his brother crushed the rocker panel area on two of my 740s. He had the damage repaired at his expense, but I could never see my way to go there again except for inspection stickers.

My dealer gives me a loaner whenever I get work done, this represents some value that I do not get elsewhere. After reading this site for a while, I am doing more work myself.

All in all, I've been happy with the reliability that my cars have shown since I started going to my present dealer. I have one daughter who lives 80 miles away, and another that is a wildlife biologist, and she travels to the other coast often and works at remote sites. Reliability is important to me.

I hope you have as much luck with your Volvo as I've had with mine.
