Research S60

I have a 2001 S60 2.4T. So far, it has been a good experience. I have about 8000 miles and the only real problem has been with the remote controls for the door locks. There have been posts on this site, and others about some problems with the S60, but nothing I would consider to be major.

I would recommend you consider a 2002 model over a 2001 model, since there have been some changes and the first model year of any make is prone to more issues. The 2.4T is plenty powerful, unless you are looking for a screamer, then think about the T5 high pressure turbo. The seats are great and I find the 5 speed auto transmission very responsive. Good trunk space and excellent sound from the base sound system. I have the premium package, touring package and metallic paint (Ash Gold). Metis wheels. For Winter weather I ordered Dunlop Winter Sport M2 tires on Sport Edition Fox 5 wheels and find the handling to be little compromised. Have not had any real snow to challenge the Winter rubber.

Hope this helps you decide. I am happy so far and dealer service has been great.

Regards,

Jim
