Searching for a shop...getting reamed? 850 1996

I knew it seemed quite inflated and I told the mechanic the same thing. He gave me the ol'..."if you want it done right....". I know where to get cheaper oem parts but I just don't have the time, space, tools, etc. to do this type of work myself. I'm hoping to find a shop that is willing to find cheaper parts, cheaper solutions, etc.. Obviously, this shop is not it.

Guess what they quoted for dash and console light bulb replacement...$300. Funny.
