Engine Drain 850 1997

There are two possible failsources. A bad generator that doesnīt charge your battery good enough or something is draining your battery when the car isnīt
running. You should measure the currentdraw from your battery when the car is
parked and completely turned of. All lights out, doors locked etc. The current
flow from the battery should be almost nothing, only a few milliamps. Otherwise something is draining. If this test is ok, measure the voltage across the battery when the motor is idling. It should atleast be 13,6V. (13,6V-14,4V).
Rev engine up a little and look at the voltage. It should be about the same, maybe a little higher when reving up but not much. If the voltage is to low your
generator is bad.

Good luck.
