Hi All

Has anyone had any experience repairing the infamous cracking black trim between the body work and the roof rail, mine has split in the same place on both sides and is flaring out obviously the sun and elements have taken there toll and it has gone hard and brittle. I have chased a replacement part from Volvo and is not available alone, you need to replace the hole roof rail to correct the problem, I had thought about black non acedic silicon but it will fade quickly and would be messy to try and remove later.
Has anyone tackled this one with a successfull result, This is very common on the estates so if you have got one I am sure you know where I am talking about.
