17 inch tires 850 1997

I have a 97 855 R with the 17" rims and stock suspension. This car comes with 205-45-17 tires. As you may know there are only a few tires in that size.

I was wondering, Has anyone ever tried running 215-45-17's on their car? The 215's are 0.36" taller and 0.39" wider than the 205's so I think they will fit, but it's already pretty tight.

Any Suggestions? The archive search engine seems to be down.
