Car won't start 850 1994

Hi,
My car refused to start the other morning. It was in the garage over night and in the morning it just didn't start. I recharged the battery with no result. There's some faint sign of life when I initially cank the engine but then its all dead. I know this isn't much but perhaps someone still has some good advice. I'm planning to start looking on the ignition side.
