Volvo AM/FM cassette radio 850 1993

When I got the car, both AM and FM worked, but I had to sort of hit the side to get the FM to work. Now, FM doesn't work at all. AM works just fine. Does anyone know any car radio troubleshooting technique or service to sort this problem out? I'm quite certain that this is a radio itself problem. I'm going to take the radio out and take it apart to see if there is some wiring that is faulty. thanks for any leads/help
