1994 Volvo 850 Turbo egg smell - stinky car ! 850 1994

Hello,
I have owned a 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo for about 2 years now. First off, I love
the spunk of this car, and the body sytle to boot. When I bought the car it
had 50K miles on it, and it currently has 82K. About 6 months ago the check
engine light kicked on and I did a code check - it said the rear O2 sensor was bad. I called the local dealer and they wanted $250 for it. I was tight on cash
and just reset the computer. It ran fine with no issues, then about 3 months
ago the light kicked on again. This time it said - bad three-way catalytic convertor. Once again, being broke I reset the computer. The light remained
off, and the car seemed to run fine. But them it started to smell like rotten
eggs everytime we parked it in the garage, or were outside of it while running.
Then, the check engine light kicked on again ( about a month ago ), and said
the knock sensor was bad. I reset the light, and as of now the car appears to
run great, minus the stinky eg smell. I finally have a few bucks and I'm wondering if a guru on Volvo's out there could give me some advise. A local
dealer here want's $ 198 for the O2 sensor, $ 98 for the knock sensor, and
$ 617 for the convertor. Should I do the sensors first and see what happens ?
Is there a less expensive route on the convertor ? I would appreciate any advise
someone could give me. I'm mainly into 60's cars ( easy and cheap to fix ), and
I would love not to waste money if I didn't have to. I would appreciate any help. Thanks, Ryan
