Sunroof Possessed, Operates by itself 850 1996

Ted,
Your sunroof is difinitely possessed. I would start with the harness under the dash. That is the most likely place where the wiring could be shorted. I had a problem with the harness in my 96 850 where the hot and ground wires to the radio shorted together in the harness. The two wires were pinched together at one of the harness clamps above the steering column and it wore the insulation off and the wires shorted together which keep blowing the radio fuse. I think the wire insulation is soft and subject to wearing when stressed. I had to remove the dash cover to get at it.
This is going to be a good one. Please post the answer.

Good luck,
Tom
