Urgent! It is raining in Florida: power window failure in down position

My driver power window has failed in the down position. Of course it happened Friday night and it is to rain all this week-end.

V70 98 125k miles

I have read the many threads on switch failures. But I suspect it might be another problem.

Before the failure when the window was moving to the down position I could hear it scrapping or almost grabbing on something. Maybe the window is just grabbing on acoustical door insulation or worse a loose wiring harness.

New Development: I just went down to have another look. I operated the front passenger window down about an inch and then it failed to come up. I was able to raise that window from the passenger door switch.

Two window up failures from the driver's master switch in less than 12 hours.

What can I do to get the window up during the week-end rain?

Thanks to this forum I was able to pry up the switch panel from the arm rest.

How do I remove the inside door panel to find out what the moving window is dragging on?

Thanks,

EDD
