Urgent! It is raining in Florida: power window failure in down position

hey. i live in florida too. it looks like we might get a break from the rain. anyway, it sounds to me like your drivers master switch is dead. i had a problem similar to this on my s70. what happened was, the windows werent lubricated proberly and so it was very hard to put the front passenger window down. so after the problem was solved the master switchw as practically burned out. the switch finally died AT the volvo dealer, no less in FRONT of the volvo of tampa shop foreman. so it was all for the best, they replaced both switches free of charge (warranty repair). i suggest you look into possibly getting a new drivers master switch after making sure its not hanging onto anything.
